Our Story

 

We started Sugar Pie Honey Buns in 2014 with a simple mission: to get back to honest, quality, classic (and slow) pie making. We do this by being mindful of our process, ingredients, service, and environmental impact. No shortcuts - we make everything from scratch - from mixing the dough to using seasonal ingredients available only from local farmers markets.

 
 
 

Michelle Park

Chef Michelle Park trained in the pastry arts at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City. Since 2006, she has worked in the kitchens of Michelin Star-rated restaurant Public, Frankies 457Prime Meats and One Girl Cookies. She served as pastry chef at Kyotofu in New York City's Hell's Kitchen, and Akasha in Culver City, California. She has also participated as a contestant on the Food Network show, Sweet Genius in 2012, and has since appeared on Martha Stewart's Sirius XM radio program.
